Do you own a Mac computer? If so, you know they’re powerful and versatile. But did you know about all their cool, hidden functionalities? Whether you use your Mac for work or play, take advantage of it in a new way with these interesting Mac computer tricks:
1.Ask Siri a Question
You use Siri on your phone to set reminders, do quick conversions, and get directions, but did you know you can access Siri on your Mac, as well? Siri recently made an entrance on Apple’s desktop and laptop computers. Use the feature by locating the Siri icon in the upper, right-hand corner of your desktop toolbar. Click it once and wait for the microphone to appear.

2. Take Full-Screen Screenshots
Most Mac users know that you can take a selective screenshot by pressing “command + shift + 4” at the same time. Once the cursor appears, you simply drag it over the area you want to capture, and that’s that.
What most people don’t know is that you can take full-screen screenshots, too.
To do this, just press “Shift + command +3” at the same time. You’ll hear the camera snap in the background, and the screenshot will save to your desktop.
3. Sign PDFs From Mail
Are you one of the many people who are always a little perplexed by how to sign PDFs? If you use a Mac computer, however, the process is simple. Instead of printing the document, signing it, and scanning it, simply use Mail to sign the doc.
Drag the PDF into your Mail window. Once you’ve done that, use your cursor to hover over the top right corner. As you do, you’ll see a small button appear, scroll down until you find the option for signing documents.
You’ll have the choice of either signing by drawing your signature on the Mac’s trackpad or scanning your signature on a piece of physical paper.
4. Save Your Credit Card Info
If you shop online frequently, you might want to save your credit card details to your device. By using iCloud Keychain, you can save everything from your payment details to your addresses, passwords, and website usernames. This information will then sync to all your Mac devices and make online shopping fast and streamlined.
Locate your iCloud Keychain settings by selecting “Apple Menu – System Preferences.” From there, find the iCloud icon in the middle of the menu.
5. Find Handy Shortcuts for Everything
Hate complex processes? Mac does, too. Mac developers build a few dozen keyboard shortcuts into Mac computers, and you can enable or disable them according to your preferences.
To do this, navigate to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts. Turn on the shortcuts you want to use, and turn off the ones you’re not interested in. If you have trouble remembering the shortcuts, consider jotting them down on a sticky note until you memorize the key combinations.
